Losing 43lbs in 144 days on the ex150 diet
- simonebrunozzi 4y agoEvery time I see an experiment where N=1, I become immensely skeptical. In this specific case, going from ~300lb to ~250lb is significantly easier than losing ~50lb to reach optimal weight.
- exfatloss 4y agoYes, it's much easier to lose large amounts of fat if you have way more to lose. I'm not claiming that the last 50lbs will be just as easy :) I also don't claim that it'll work for everyone. But if you've struggled using other methods, why not try it?
- AlchemistCamp 4y agoI do too, but I saw this person a few times between 2015 and now and the difference is striking. I've tried a few keto diets myself and never had good experiences with them but I can't deny that they work for him. There's probably a genetic or environmental factor causing different people to react very differently to similar diets, which actually makes n=1 experiments more valuable (for the one doing them).
- AlchemistCamp 4y agoWhy are almost all of exfatloss's comments dead? Looking at the content of the recent ones, it looks like either someone has a grudge or there's a serious glitch in HN's moderation systems. I vouched a few, but it doesn't seem to have any effect.
