- motoko 19y agoI like how the "voice of truth" also claims to be a pirate and have balls the size of beanbags. No sarcasm about the voice of truth, though: only Maddox writes obnoxiously enough to be heard over every other idiot nerd fanboy blog.
- gibsonf1 19y agoThat is one successfully abusive PR masterpiece - The key being that its so over the top that it turns into humour - so you get primitive entertainment while getting some actual information as well. I had no idea about that phone either - and it does look pretty good - especially the cool keyboard and the fact that the screen res is comparable. But, the Iphone UI is a force unto itself.

- samueladam 19y agoYou may not like the author and his style but i think the article is worth reading. It's been four years since i have a Nokia 6820, the keyboard is robust and the usability is great. I've always been surprised few people know about those phones and i think the message was worth relaying. If i ever need to upgrade my phone, it will be a E70. Far33d, i think you are too blinded by your feelings for maddox to find any of is stuff worth it. I also have this kind of dilemma when i like a song from an artist i can't stand. I end up listening to the song because i like it and i can recognise the talent where it is.
- far33d 19y agoActually, I thought this was a hilarious article. I love maddox. I check his site for updates constantly. I just didn't think that this was particularly appropriate for this particular forum, that's all.
- samueladam 19y agoI thought it was worth showing up here as a geek tool. Sorry, it's not startup centered but it's nice to know about iphone alternatives.
- Goladus 19y agoThis is sort of on the fringe of what constitutes an on-topic story, but it's a valid counter-argument to the iPhone, which has been discussed on the forum before.
- acgourley 19y agoAlso the e70 has python. Also I'm still waiting on the way overdue maddox take on web 2.0 which will make uncov look like gigaom.

- mdolon 19y agoMan how do you come back to a title like that? You can't even say "your FACE is a peice of shit" because he has that covered too!! I like the article too, though it's a little hostile for my taste.
- mynameishere 19y agoThis crappy article gave me a thought. The advantage of not allowing downmods on this site seems to be: It's impossible to actively bury submissions, and so things only rise on popularity. But, at some point, that stops mattering. So, what if, after a certain # of points or after a certain position is reached, a downmod arrow appears?
