I think a 1 page resume is essential. Even Gates or Jobs could have a kick-ass 1 pager.
Exceptions include a need to list technical details like published papers/books, patents, etc.
- alex_c 18y agoEven Gates or Jobs could have a kick-ass 1 pager. It's a lot easier to have a short resume when you have an outstanding achievement. It's a lot harder when you have a long list of mediocre achievements.

- nihilocrat 18y agoHe included "References available upon request". That's a waste of space (either more content, or more whitespace), because it's assumed you'll produce references when requested.
