I have, and actually in one right now because Midwest winters suck. On one hand they're not wrong but they're also not right. I'm my experience in poor countries there are the girls, guys, and guys who pretend to be girls that use prostitution to earn money. Then there's others who work 18 hour days in jobs that barely earn enough to live on, generally because the employer takes 80-90% of the money. So the first group is having a lot of sex but as a means of work. Not as a means of enjoyment and pair bonding. The second never has time for it, not even to date and find a husband. They do nothing but work so their parents can live. We talk about the social security collapse in the USA but that's not going to happen. The US will just print its way out of it. In poor countries there is a coming bigger collapse. Younger people aren't having kids, aren't getting married aren't even looking. They're just working to pay for their aging parents. While this has been the norm to have a large family for this kind of support these people are now delaying marriage thinking they'll have kids later. By the time later comes around it will be too late. They'll have no family to support them. This is very different from first world countries where people delay marriage and kids. That is done to build their own financial base so because paying for parents is much less of a thing. These are devastating times ahead for many of the poorest countries.
