I think this page was quite nicely written, but it should perhaps have had slightly more focus on things that will start acting up before the wrap in 2038, stuff like "I made a vpn cert or an internal-only CA cert with a 10 year lifespan" which will not be a problem at 2038 but will be a problem if you want to do it in 2028. This is why you can't wait until you are close to 2038.
