Vkd3d is only going to get better, and it's pretty darn good right now. I'm okay with Microsoft just sticking with D3D12 for a very long time. I use it to play lots of games on Linux. :D
- shmerl 4y agoThat helps to break the lock-in for sure, but it took a huge amount of effort to make this work around and it will continue to be costly. Good thing Valve are footing the bill for it, but it will always need to play catch up.
