No search ? :-(
Sorry, I won't use it: search is the only way to let your users discover the content that THEY ARE LOOKING FOR (and maybe to engage) instead of JUST CONSUMING content pushed by others or algorithm...
- aliqot 4y agoYou're on a site with no search
- rsfern 4y agoHN has a search bar at the bottom of the page
- aliqot 4y agowoah I stand corrected, my apologies
- rsfern 4y agoPersonally I didn’t find your tone really warrants an apology, and anyway the search feature is pretty unobtrusive :) Also for what it’s worth I kind of disagree with the top level poster, search can come later after there’s enough discussion to actually index.
- olivierduval 4y agoWell, I'll be happy to use it when some kind of search will be implemented (even google search!) The thing is: as mentionned in other comments, research papers may spread really different fields... so some kind of either search or category may help to find good content wrt specific knowledges.
- Vt71fcAqt7 4y agoThat's cleverly worded. HN does not have search, however.
