- ashwagary 4y agoIt mostly goes one way, men are the initiators of marriages and they are avoiding it.
- aurizon 4y agoThe whole social media and 'influencers' milieu is creating people who are essentially unmarriageable(men and women) to well balanced men and women. WHo would want to marry someone who joins daily dating apps with instant sex, they term them hookups. Few stable couples emerge from this 'ecology'

- jfengel 4y agoI wonder if that goes hand in hand with declining birth rates. Single motherhood is extremely difficult. Having even one other person around who is legally committed to assist would take a ton of pressure off. There are many other reasons to get married, but child rearing seems to be the one that makes it just shy of indispensable. If women don't wish to raise children, there is much less reason to get married. Not zero: there are plenty of married people without children, just as plenty of people do successfully raise children without a spouse. But it would be interesting to see how much correlation there is between the two.
