I don't really understand the bing-microsoft release at this point. Even sam altman tweeted the following in December, which was 2 months ago. What changed since then?.

If the CEO of OpenAI says that at the moment it's a mistake to rely on it, then why did he pushed this to into millions of hand for people who searches for factual information?
- roxgib 4y ago"We have to be first". That's it. That's the entire business case. They want to be first, and they think that'll turn them into the market leader.
- whamlastxmas 4y agoBeing first isn’t Sam’s priority. He is actively encouraging of competition and believes we’re better off with many many AGIs
