I tried geforce now, it's amazing, lag is almost imperceptible with the 8ms ping I had.

  I also tried it on a gigabit network and it was essentially unusable. Constant frame drops and audio stuttering. Even for casual gaming it was horrible. Can't imagine something multi player.

    You talking about your local network or your internet connection? It works just fine(tm) on the two fiber connections i've tried, one 500 mbps only, not 1 gbps. It only uses like 10 mbps for 1080. It's the latency and packet loss that kills you, it's unusable on wifi going though the same fiber for example.

    There’s a lot of bad networks out there. I won a number of Fortnite battle royals testing this and it was rock solid 120 fps, barely any detectable latency at the 10 ms ping I was getting. The lack of noise actually made me prefer it over my gaming box. It’s a real home run for people fortunate enough to have excellent network connections to nvidia’s data centres.
