I am really, really not a fan of IDEs being a part of the environment in which you execute the code. Basically I want my virtual environment separate from the IDE code. Both Spyder and Jupyter do this and I don't like it.

The code is running in a separate interpreter.

  Really ? That's nice. I thought you had to install some ipykernel and all kinds of libs in your venv. Maybe that's changed now
