Then do keto or carnivore and you dont have to fast (has to be high fat) or feel hungry (which is often carb withfrawal).
- petesergeant 4y agoTried keto, lost a little bit of weight at first, but then found it very easy to over-eat and gain weight. Was tracking with pee sticks pretty religiously. The carnivore diet sounds unhinged to my naive ears.
- jononomo 4y agoI do carnivore and it breaks my heart that people dismiss it so much. It is just a flat out miracle diet.
- hirundo 4y agoDitto. I'm more than two years into it an honesty I'd be dead without it. And eating this way I naturally fall into an "intermittent fasting" schedule, because that's all I want to eat.
- ddorian43 4y agoYou should do blood ketone & glucose metering if you want accurate debigging (cgm bllod would be pro debugging)
- greatpostman 4y agoKeto diet changed my life. More energy, focus, mental balance, etc. it’s astounding. Processed carb foods must be truly poison
- uxcolumbo 4y agoNot sure meat only diet is advised. Let alone if everyone would adopt a meat only diet it wouldn't be sustainable. The meat industry is already a major contributor to biosphere destruction. - LtdJorge 4y agoThe Inuit seemed to do very well on it, before they were introduced to grains and other starches.
- uxcolumbo 4y agoLast time I checked the Inuit didn't have a large scale meat industry that kills billions of animals each year and that pollutes and destroys our biosphere and uses huge amount of resources. The Inuit or any other tribes live with Nature and preserve it. We don't - we do the opposite.
- ipaddr 4y agoWait until you find out how much energy, pollution and waste you created to write that.
- uxcolumbo 4y agoYep - you're right. Hence why accelerating the transition away from fossil fuels is key. But suggesting to switch to a meat only diet to be healthy is not a solution to our climate crisis. In fact it would worsen it.
- ipaddr 4y agoThe real problem is people. What strategy do we have to reduce the world population? Is that topic too taboo? Because it's the core issue.
- uxcolumbo 4y agoWorld population is projected to stabilize by the end of this century, so I'm not sure population is the main problem. The issue is our consumption habits and how much GHG and pollution it creates - mostly by the West [0] So a more concerted effort to transition away from relying on meat to feed the world is one step we can make [1] Energy is another, which is happening slowly, EU for example is now accelerating the use of more sustainable energy sources - renewables and nuclear. - m463 4y agoI think that fasting is completely different than keto/carnivore. Do you really want to feel less hungry by replacing carbs with fat/protein? Fasting seems to purge your system and your body gets used to digesting sometimes and being clear other times. Also it seems fasting has aging benefits. Lowering calories leads to longer lifespan. And fasting might be one of the only ways to metabolize senescent cells (autophagy)
