I was at dinner with friends last night, and among the 6 of us, 5 of our employers had done layoffs in the last few weeks, and the 6th's employer has been talking about it. Certainly anecdotal but it was extremely jarring I don't feel particularly worried about my job, but multiple people at the table reported extreme anxiety over the layoffs, and I imagine that's more often than not the case
