      I was hoping for more clarity. Why do you think it's likely to be taken down or edited given the GOP's control of the relevant committee for this Congress, plus the fact that they can maintain their own copy and that it would in any case be permanently archived in govinfo.gov?

Is there a reason why this has happened? Was it always like this just not left-leaning and has been switched in recent history? I think it’s important to note the FBI has been used as a political weapon previously.

  Left of Republican blowhards doesn't mean you're "left-leaning" or it shouldn't anyway. FBI is pro Establishment.

  The new version of "our political enemies are communists" is "our political enemies are domestic violent extremists". It's a rationale for using state resources and law enforcement powers to degrade the political opposition. The FBI went after MLK that way, accusing him of ties to communists in order to justify extreme measures.   I think because democracy with time shift to socialism. We can see this phenomena in every Western country. There are more and more regulations, bills, laws... with attitude to solve all kind of problems, but it makes individual less responble for their decisions and more dependent on state. We can imagine what will happen with banning cash, UBI, one digital currency, etc. Total dependency and surveillance by state.
