Yes, and this was actively encouraged. In all documentation for DOS, there are spaces between the command and all of its switches. It was rare to see them jammed together. It worked either way, but the preference for spaces was pretty clear. It probably should be altered in a future version to accept both with and without spaces, since that is in the spec to begin with. Still a cool project.
