That could have been built with BrowserID (https://hacks.mozilla.org/2011/07/introducing-browserid-easier-and-safer-authentication-on-the-web/ https://hacks.mozilla.org/2011/07/introducing-browserid-easi...) but surprisingly (or not!) the big platforms didn't embrace a user-centric login protocol.
