Tell me you're American without telling me you're American. It's a really sad state of affairs back home. I vividly recall the first time I got pulled over here in Europe for making a traffic mistake - after I payed for the fine on the spot (with a contactless credit card) I realized something... my heart wasn't racing. I didn't have a massive adrenaline dump. I wasn't terrified of the police officer. Crazy stuff, huh?
