How did they fail? Usually failures are just dusty insides. I've seen two "fail" and I'd fix them by using a toothpick. I want to like USB-C because it's universal but it just breaks so easily. If they make a good mangentic one all is forgiven, I'm using a non standard "dangerous" one to alleviate it's fragility.
