- lbussell 4y agoOn iOS, you can autofill passwords from 3rd party browsers (Edge in my case). Is there something similar for Android?
- seanhunter 4y agoThat seems like more of a misfeature of android than an advantage of chrome. On iOS you can autofill things from the builtin password manager to any app (including safari or chrome) and you can seamlessly share the password manager stuff to other apple devices if that’s what you want to do. And if you want to use a 3rd party password manager instead (1password and lastpass at least definitely work this way) you can still share between the built in “fill in any password in any app” thing in the mobile os and your browser extension in your browser of choice on desktop. ie that killer feature doesn’t even exist in the apple ecosystem because it’s built into the os and works everywhere. I’m not saying that to ignite the apple vs android os war but just to reinforce the point that I don’t think this is a sustainable competitive advantage.
- danielrpa 4y agoEdge has that too between Edge Windows and Edge Android... I know it because I use it.
- lolinder 4y agoUsing a third-party password manager like Bitwarden makes it easy to use any number of browsers and still sync to Android with autofill.
