Like any other product, software has different levels of quality to it.
Most people are not prepared to pay for that level of excellence. They want the cheapest thing as quickly as possible.
The only way that this will improve is if the "baseline" quality of software improves so the average coder automatically produces better stuff because the popular tool of the day is providing it for "free" without them really thinking about it or having to opt-in to it.
