This may be a very unpopular opinion, but I tip as little as possible. I don't live in the US, and don't like how tipping has spread as part of a cultural export from the US, to places where a perfectly fine minimum wage exists. On top of that, US behemoths like Square are bringing the tip screens to every POS terminal. Sorry but I will not give a tip for grabbing the sandwich from behind the till and handing me a soda from the fridge. The only time I tip is when I have an expectation of repeat business, like at the hairdresser or my favorite bar/restaurant.
