One of my first great experiences in Germany was getting on the train in Düsseldorf on the way to Berlin, and finding myself in the Bar cabin, where I could order as much alcohol as I wanted. Later in the ride, the cabin was converted into a club/disco and it was awesome. Sometimes it feels like Germans know a freedom not well expressed elsewhere in the Western world ..
