Big ships are cost effective, which means more profits for wealthy super-conglomerates. And to think shipping only contributes less than 4% of global greenhouse emissions, or about as much as a single high carbon-producing country, well over a billion metric tons of carbon dioxide annually and more than all the ICE vehicles in the US. What an absolute marvel of modern technology.

- lnsru 4y agoMaybe I am too old, but I don’t want cheaper products. I want high quality ones. I am tired of thrash where every possible corner was cut to save fraction of a penny.
- gnarbarian 4y agoYou know, I actually agree with you on this. We've got a cultural problem where people don't even want nice stuff that lasts.

- Maursault 4y agoThe shipping industry is not required to pump obscene amounts of carbon into the atmosphere.
