- cpncrunch 4y agoIs he even saving in gas vs simply paying the $360 for the autogas STC? And privately operated aircraft don't require engine TBOs to be respected. You can go as long as you want over TBO, completely legally. (At least in Canada, and I assume the FAA rules are the same). So, no need for an engine reserve.
