- lakomen 4y agoIf it works, how come every game that asks for firewall access and you don't give it, it's able to bypass the firewall regardless?
- justsomehnguy 4y agoBecause the defaults is to let anything outbound, block non-allowed inbound. Your games initiate outbound connection and work. They wouldn't see anything on the LAN, but when was the last time you relied on broadcasts to find a server?
- unstatusthequo 4y agoBecuase it’s obnoxious to manage. Use a network level blocker like PiHole or NextDNS which has much more usability imho.
- justsomehnguy 4y agoGlorified DNS block list is surely more effective than not allowing the software to go out in the first place. Yea, sure.
