Having used an adblock for a decade or more, it's actually shocking to browse without one these days, it actually feels like I've got malware, with many many sites having LAYERS of ads, like they are buckshotting and expecting most to be blocked.

A few years ago, I built a website while kind of forgetting how others experience the web. It's lightweight, and eschews ads, newsletter prompts, cookie notices, chatboxes, tracking and all the other annoyances. I didn't think much of it, but a lot of people notice and bring it up when they contact me. I'm tapping into an undiscovered niche: websites that don't piss people off!
