This is particularly interesting, the commit modified the `WaylandEnable` option in the file "/etc/gdm3/custom.conf" to "false", disabling Wayland and enabling X11. But even more interestingly so, the modification is performed with elevated privileges, via `pkexec` command. Yikes.
