I have been playing with KDE/wayland lately and after turning off all animations I am really liking it. I come from i3. I am missing the independent virtual desktop / monitor mapping. But this can be somewhat worked out with pinning. I often only display one desktop on the second monitor. If I even use one. As I also find switching workspace is just much faster than turning my head! What I am missing the most is the scratch space. Where you can shortcut windows in and out of existence. But I think this can also be worked around by using an extra workspace, and pinning windows via shortcuts.
