  Some places demonstrated that it is possible. I don't see really evidence that the reverse is inevitable.

    you answered your own question. Some places can do it. All places cannot. Geography and international politics. Poverty, education, corruption, actual warzones, famines and natural disasters, even month long riots in developed countries - all these are happening now and happened every year since 2019. It's completely impossible for the world to stop the virus as a world.
