- ClumsyPilot 4y agoSuppose they'll u ionise all stores in the country, then what is your move?
- nebula8804 4y agoRaise the cost of goods to make up for the loss in profit margin. Yeah people can go to PC/Android but there is enough value add(eg. iMessage, app store, continuity) that many will swallow their pride and stay in the ecosystem.
- ClumsyPilot 4y agoThat's not something that would worry me as a negative if I was a union member on $15 an hour. Also they've been raising cost of goods for the last five years without any pressure from the unions. While wages of Apple store staff have been falling in relative terms. So I do not believe anything would change.
- nebula8804 4y agoNo but if they raise the cost in just the UK that is effectively a tax on everyone in favor of the unions. There is little to no loss on Apple's part in the long run.
- ClumsyPilot 4y agoSo you believe that Apple could raise prices without hurting their sales, but are currently not doing so and are leaving money on the table?
- nebula8804 4y agoIf they market it right, yes possibly. In fact they are one of the few companies that could possibly increase sales by doing this(they are the ones who really popularized 1000$ smartphone segment). It is easier for them to do this if they have a scapegoat.
