Headline doesn't really line up with everything else going on that affects a trillion dollar company...
It is probably some combination of the SOTU address, continued macroeconomic headwinds, and the poor/slow reaction to ChatGPT/Microsoft partnership. The wrong answer probably has SO little to do with this.
- LegitShady 4y agoso what did their competitors move in a similar time, if its generalized market anxiety? Hint: nowhere near as much, and microsoft is actually up. Google is a trillion dollar company but a lot of their revenue depends on their dominance in search. Google is a search/ads company, and now feeling pressure from microsoft/openai for the first time in a long time, their proposed answer was not well received because it doesn't satisfy the fundamental requirements for search.
