Perhaps it's poorly worded, but we do need better business/CRUD/GUI standards for HTTP-based apps: a state-ful GUI markup standard. Attempts to get DOM & JS to do desktop-friendly GUI's well keep failing after 25+ years of trying, with clunky results & long learning curves.
- mnd999 4y agoThat’s also been tried with mixed result with XAML, XUL and QtQuick with pretty mixed results.
- tabtab 4y agoXAML is static, and XUL had verbose and awkward syntax & commands. I think QtQuick is also static. QML is perhaps a closer example (but not XML), but many Qt-related tools are proprietary or have dodgy licenses.
