There’s been a bigger push towards the whole Indy/kickstarter thing, several developers in the past year slipped out from under their publishers to take control and let fans directly fund their games.
Otherwise that was a selling point of nfts. Having a digital supply chain that could trace assets back to a creator for compensation. Before the market imploded, many game companies were jumping in to try and rush out nft projects to squeeze people
- astrange 4y agoWasn't it only Ubisoft? The entire idea doesn't work, which most real game companies would've noticed. You can't just "add your items to a different game".
- 8note 4y agoI don't think any nfts actually did that though? Only promised it as a potential feature without building anything past what the nft creator gets paid for
