Researchers propose a fourth traffic light for autonomous vehicles
- version_five 4y agoThis is a great example of out-of-touch technocratic thinking. I'm sure it makes sense on paper, but won't anywhere else. This reminds me of the Simpsons episode where the nerds were all in charge of writing the laws and chaos ensured (Stephen Hawking guest starred). It unfortunately isn't unbelievable that people are so out of touch they can propose something like this
- anenefan 4y agoThose who considered this are close to inept on what goes into controlling traffic flow in various cities. Even if this draft of an idea was given consideration to move to the next phase, even school kids could work out the cost involved is totally prohibitive to install such a system and place safeguards that the new traffic system isn't abused.
- thesneakin 4y agoThis dystopian nightmare is going to be demolition derby funny. Though giving them a lane and a light for when they're zipping through cutting corners could be good. Just don't get stuck between two FSD cars.
