- peanuty1 4y agoThe Innovator's Dilemma. Presumably, Google didn't want to cannibalize their cash cow (Google search) because they don't know if LLM chatbots can be monetized as effectively.
- NovaPenguin 4y agoSomething that I always admired about Apple (at least in the past) was that they were willing to make old stuff obsolete even when it was wildly successful. iPhone killing iPod is a great example of this.
- bobsil1 4y agoThey were already under competitive pressure. I bought a candy bar Sony phone with built-in MP3 player app before the iPhone.
