There inevitably will be groundbreaking things discovered by those who are native to modern social media, and that cultural context will be remembered as part of the history of the discovery. This idea that modernity just dumbs everything down is another pointless generational gap that will be proven wrong by the newer generation. You should consider dropping it before you become bitter and close-minded.
