It always amuses me; this delusion that the Dickie Beasleys [0] of the advertising world have, that people get involved in earnest discussions about their latest creations [presumably in that perennial venue for debate "round the water cooler"].
Most people view adverts as an annoying disruption to something they're trying to watch or read... or a good opportunity to nip for a wee, or put the kettle on. The only times I ever hear anyone discussing an advert, it's to complain about how annoying it is and express how much they'd like to punch the twat who came up with it.
