The tongs seem effective at retrieving balls from the gutter, but they don’t look like they would do a good job removing leaf litter and small detritus, which is the main thing you want to clean out of your gutters. There are similar tools that have scoops shaped to fit common gutter sizes and have tubing inside the handle to allow you to hose down your gutters from the ground, those will do a far better job.
