I don't have time to go into depth, but I will just say that your Node.js knowledge appears to be somewhat limited. Node does everything that RoR/Django/Nginx* can do, does it better, and does it with less complexity. *if you can utilize sendfile()

  That would be a very long backing up. But I really do believe that. I started to learn Ruby for a project recently, but I ended up turning that offer down - I couldn't go back to a 2009 technology. Node, CoffeeScript, Backbone, Handlebars, Express, Socket.io - that's the sh1t..
