AMD Dragon Range 12-Core Mobile CPU Is 90% Faster Than Ryzen 6900HX in PassMark
- Night_Thastus 4y agoTitle is wrong in the original source and here on HN. The 6900HX is not an Intel CPU, it's an AMD Ryzen 9 CPU.
- vanburen 4y agoThanks for pointing that out, I changed Intel to Ryzen in the title.

- olliej 4y agoOk so I’m assuming this is a Multi-core heavy benchmark, in which case the comparison looks like an 8core vs 12core one so you’d expect a very chunky win from the 50% increase in core count. Then I don’t know if AMD is doing heterogenous compute but if it is then you can easily increase beyond 50% perf if you’re only duplicating the high perf cores vs the low power ones (which I think the higher end m1/m2s do). That said the article itself is saying this is a 90% win over the intel equivalent but is actually talking about current gen AMD parts so I’m not super sold on the quality of the reporting.
