I would never rely on it as my only means of allowing a user to log in, but I would definitely and plan to use it as an alternate way they can. If Facebook cancels or cripples Connect, then I'd still have the users and a means of letting them continue to use my service. But I agree 100%, never depend solely on a free service from a commercial company assuming it has anything but its own interest in mind. If you no longer fit their best interest, you're toast.
