It’s kind of funny how whenever an account on a privately-operated website gets banned for violating that website’s clearly stated rules, it instantly becomes a referendum on Cancel Culture and Lowest Common Denominator and Woke Mob etc.
People are forming entire worldviews around being oppressed by The Mods these days, and so many people happily clamor to reinforce their position that they are The Victim Of Culture because a stupid free live stream that they didn’t care about 48 hours ago isn’t available at this very second.
- ketzo 4y agoI agree. I’ve literally seen the word “mob,” like, 5 times in this thread already. I think… it’s just an overzealous application of a policy? I don’t really think there’s a woke gang on this one.
- braingenious 4y agoSeriously, it’s a bit tiring hearing all of these people describe the dangerous and torturous violence of “not getting an arbitrary bit of content for free at the instant that they want it” Also, why do none of these persecution victims let me post on their personal websites? >:(

- xcxs 4y agoNow pull up the statistics for genuine women and see how they compare. You'll find it's much, much worse. But no-one pushing this transgender ideology gives a shit about actual female women do they, only the special ones with cocks and sob stories about how hard it is pretending to be a woman.

- braingenious 4y agoSometimes people register new accounts on websites with the sole purpose of sharing their opinion that their displeasure with trans folks is based in some sort of fact-based higher understanding of reality. There is no explanation why they feel the need to show up out of nowhere, but often times they are parroting an off-the-shelf set of edgy opinions that one can pick up off 4chan/Kiwifarms and use as a personality. There’s a whole lot of folks like that, and sometimes people in this group that compulsively regurgitate edgy youtuber clickbait in lieu of practicing critical thinking also can be dangerous!

- braingenious 4y agoYep! This is completely compatible with what I described! The people that use these prepackaged edgy personas often don’t actually believe their own dogma enough to stand behind it. This makes sense because they’re usually not actually expressing personally-held opinions, they are performing a cathartic act of being contrarian in order to cement their position as being both smarter than average and signaling that they’re part of an orthodox group. It’s a lazy performance of disgust for the sake of attention. To further respond to your original question, these people that value performing disgust using pre-digested replacements for personalities can sometimes become dangerous! And there are a lot of them!

- flangola7 4y agoFor starters, the three people that jumped me in April 2022 and called me a mentally ill pedophile and put me in a hospital bed for several days. (I am a visibly GNC person who does not appear clearly male or female). I was fortunate to have been well practiced in drawing and discharging my mace canister or it could have been significantly worse. A lot of physical trauma can be (and was) inflicted in 5 seconds. This is not a particularly exceptional experience among my other non-cis friends. Not all of have suffered violence, but being threatened with it is nearly universal.
- xcxs 4y agoThat's unfortunate that you were a victim of random violence, but it doesn't support your claim that there are mobs roaming around targeting trans people. That is a paranoid fantasy that isn't backed up by any evidence.
