Did Figma manage to patent Flexbox?
I'm on a team implementing a design tool, and while researching potential problematic software patents, we came across this: https://patents.justia.com/patent/11481083
Is it just me, or did they actually manage to patent flexbox, which their "auto layout" feature copies closely?
- TAKEMYMONEY 4y agoThe Copyright Office’s Compendium of U.S. Copyright Office Practices, 3rd Edition states that: > procedures, processes, and methods of operation are not copyrightable, the Office generally will refuse to register claims based solely on CSS.
