Is there somewhere a good overview of the various open source projects active in the programmatic music space? There is a large number of efforts with different capabilities, stage of maturity, target platforms etc. Some are part of large creative coding projects, some are standalone and ofcourse written all sort of different languages. Its an embarrassment of riches in some way.

- college_physics 4y agoits a good start! indeed it hasn't been updated recently. In the meantime I found also this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_music_software https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_music_software Ideally it would be nice to have a tabular format (is used frequently on wikipedia for comparison tables) where the different relevant dimensions can be sorted. But checking other awesome lists and wikipedia entries I realise this is a huge and somewhat loosely defined space: (audio vs music) (analysis vs production) etc and compiling a definitive list would require some serious research
