Money is actually literally a measurement of what people want.
That’s all it is.
“How much do you want X?” means the exact same thing as “How much is X worth to you?”
The distribution of money is flawed, but the concept is merely the definition of math.
- hinkley 4y agoHow many of those rebates have you sent in? How many times have you put up with your cable company, or your annoying friend who keeps borrowing things and never gives them back? It's not the money, it's the effort in all of these cases that gets in the way. People sometimes substitute money for that effort, and the rich do it more than most, but it's not universal. Lack of money means a lot, but only because of the things you can't acquire without it. If you know the right people you can get it anyway.
