The man listed as inventor of this patent, Salvatore Pais, has been on Curt Jaimungal's podcast a few times. I did come out of it with the impression that this stuff was all based on his personal theories, that he can't get anyone to take him seriously in academia, and that we don't actually have anything like this working in secret. But again, considering that it's all over my head, I'd also put little stock in my take away from the interviews.
