duh. As if EVs are the solution to our climate woes. EVs are a better option, the best option would be no V. Mobile work, dependable and sufficient public transport network as well as sufficient car sharing, ample biking infrastructure, are the way forward in order to reduce car dependency.
In the end, I don't want to be forced to own a car like I am now. If there are better options to get from A to B than by car I will gladly use them.
- thaanpaa 4y agoThere isn't a single solution. With that kind of reasoning, you'll essentially end up doing nothing. Ground traffic amounts to around 20 - 25 % of all carbon output. A significant portion of the lifecycle emissions of just about any product also comes from ground transport, so it makes a lot of sense to swap most of it to electric rather sooner than later.
