Thanks for stopping by, folks. I just got back into updating my weblog and I'd not thrown on the optimizations and caching functionality in a while, and now it's there. It should work fine for you going forward.
Your pal, Jason
- voytec 4y agoYour TLS cert has expired over a year ago. It's self-signed, but still... depth=0 CN = ascii.textfiles.com verify error:num=10:certificate has expired notAfter=Jan 19 23:05:12 2022 GMT
- saurik 4y agoFWIW the link is not to https?
- webstrand 4y agoFirefox has a nifty feature that switches you to https if it's available called "HTTPS-Only Mode". I encountered the certificate warning, too.

- saurik 4y agoAnd yet, in this case, it wasn't available, but you got switched anyway ;P. If we are going to go around doing these kind of rewrites on URLs we should probably give up on the various CORS rules that carefully separate these websites.
- voytec 4y agoIt is available with the same content.
- throwanem 4y agoReading the linked post made me understand some things about myself a little better. I appreciate it.
- an_aparallel 4y agoCool write up Jason - 4 years ago i did the same with the electronic music (on vinyl) which i enjoyed in my youth. It's incredibly thankless - but - as time goes on - meeting (online) the folks that are interested in archiving their little "corner" of releases...sharing/and sometimes teaching folks how to do it - is really something special.
- aestetix 4y agoThis is really cool. I think you might have stumbled on a new kind of ASMR.
- selfhoster11 4y agoThis post gave me some insight into what motivates you to go forward. I can only hope that streaming brings you satisfaction out of what you’re doing. I’m thinking of streaming myself, as a source of motivation to carry on what I’m doing.
- LocalH 4y agoI've been following your work for some time, Jason. I think the appropriate phrase nowadays is "doing God's work" :)
