I remember an interview of Blockbuster long time ago who claimed that their business will never go out of business because people come to their store for the people connection, chatting with employees, walking around the isles searching for videos, and ultimately the experience of even going to the store. I was actually in agreement with them at the time. But fast forward 10-20 years and with Netflix and YouTube, looks like they were wrong about the whole thing. I think the same is playing out here with the in office vs remote work.
