The takeaway here is not “Divine intervention” it's either: A lot of people fall off boats and die while taking a leak, or there are so many people on the ocean, that if you go in a straight line, you're probably going to meet someone.
- tobyjsullivan 4y agoThat’s not the takeaway if either of those things are true. I’m not sure there’s much evidence supporting either of those statements. The ocean is huge. I’m not a religious person so I’d say this is a happy coincidence. And coincidences involving rescues make great stories.
